The Accessorist Gift Guide: 40 Under $50

The Accessorist Gift Guide: 40 Under $50

HAPPY DECEMBER!! (And happy Friday!) It's officially 3 weeks until Christmas weekend—have you started your holiday shopping yet? I've picked up a couple of things for Chris so far, but that's it! I've been feeling uninspired about what to get everyone on my list (and a little Scrooge-y about spending money), but once I started working on this post, the creative juices started flowing—and I realized there are a lot of fun gifts to give UNDER $50!

It's so fun to watch someone unwrap something you picked out for them, but I don't want to go broke doing it. It really is the thought that counts at Christmas, don't you think? I hunted down 20 great (affordable) gifts I would legitimately LOVE to get—and paired everything up with another small item to create a fun mini experience—so you can choose to keep it simple with a single stocking stuffer or take it the next level with a fun combo. All it takes is the right pairing for simple things like coffee & a travel mug or lip color & a compact to feel much more special.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this post, making sure—like I said—that every single thing is something I actually want myself, so you really can't go wrong! But here are a few things topping my list: the calendar (for the go-getter with big plans for 2018! so practical!), the hot pink coasters (I LOVE this color—give them to a friend and make plans for cocktails!), the votives set (candles are part of my daily routine and these miniatures are perfect for the bathroom—a sometimes neglected space), the sugar lip treatment (in every shade—so wearable!), the face mist (great to combat winter skin and keep at the office for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up), the hair rollers (va va voom!) and the sleeping mask and pillow spray are my number ones! (this mask promotes restful sleep and delivers anti-aging benefits and the pillow spray sounds straight-up heavenly—a new reason to look forward to falling into bed and something everyone can appreciate). I also think the sequin belt is really fun—tie-waist pants are so popular right now and this fancy little accessory is a way to get the look with pants you already own. I would wear it to dress up black jeans for happy hour.

I hope these ideas help you get going on your shopping this weekend if you're dragging your feet a little, like me! There's nothing better than having all your gifts bought and wrapped so you can just sit back and really enjoy the Christmas season.

Tonight, we're meeting one of Chris's old coworkers who is in town from Seattle for drinks, and on Saturday we're going to an 80s-themed birthday party (TBD on what to wear for that..!). I hope you have a great weekend!

P.S. Did you catch these posts?
