Just Peachy
Itβs July 21. How?! Nothing makes the summer fly faster than starting a new job just before Memorial Day β¦
Butβletβs live in the present, right? I realized I neglected to mention that our new exterior doors got installed last week! Wahooo. We still need to paint them, but itβs literally a game-changer to be rid of our janky storm doors. Leaving the house in the morning is so SEAMLESS. Thereβs nothing slamming me in the hip as I try to lock up with my hands full or multiple obstacles to get through when Iβm hauling two heaping bags of trash to the bins by the garage. Plus, the new black hardware gives the house a modern update. Iβll have to share some pics on Insta β¦
Other good things going on:
I made this tortellini salad for dinner on Monday and thought it was a winner (if you subscribe to my emails, you already know that!). It felt fancy(ish) thanks to roasted vegetables and a basil vinaigrette, but was easy to whip together on a weeknight. Will definitely make it again.
Chris and I are watching Silicon Valley on Hulu. The drama is relentless, and itβs always good for a few laughs. Last night, this scene made us giggle.
Iβve mentioned when work is stressing me out, so I should mention when itβs not, too! While there are still ups and downs, Iβm starting to get the hang of things, and thinking I might really enjoy the way this role challenges me. And I do really enjoy learning more about the home & design business.
Things are just peachy.
I love my blacks, whites, and grays, but it feels good to embrace a soft pop of color for summer. Iβm also LOVING the loose fit and babydoll silhouette of this dress. It feels effortless and sweet. I bought it because itβs a little more dressed up than a t-shirt dress, but still casual enough for every dayβa gap in my wardrobe I needed to fill!
