What I Bought and Loved in June
Good morning! π
Iβm wrapping up the workweek today, and Iβm excited to have all of Friday to get ready for the 4th of July weekend. In addition to a food and bev run, Iβm getting my nails done tomorrow and I booked a Drybar appointmentβI want to get my hair braided so itβs (hopefully) a little more manageable and out of my way while weβre at the lake! Follow along on Instagram for more from the weekend, and check out the products I bought this month and loved, below!
Product details: Flutter Tank | Sisley Paris Tinted Moisturizer | βLiking Myself Backβ by Jacey Duprie | Le Specs Sunglasses | Butterfly Necklace | Necessaire Neck Serum | Abercrombie & Fitch 90s Baggy Shorts (light wash) and High Rise Dad Shorts (cream) | Skims Fits Everybody Thong (3 for $36) | St. Tropez Tan Tonic Drops | St. Tropez Gradual Tan Watermelon Daily Firming Lotion
Flutter Tank: My current favorite top! I bought in 3 colors, and itβs a dupe for this much more expensive style.
Sisley Paris Tinted Moisturizer: I bought this in a pinch the night before an event when I needed a new shade of tinted moisturizer after starting self-tanner and my normal Laura Mercier moisturizer (shade Vanille) was sold out. Admittedly, itβs outrageously expensive, but it does feel AMAZINGβlight, so smooth, and it just melts into your skin. The only makeup products I use daily now are tinted moisturizer (currently: shade Medium), concealer, bronzer, and eyebrow gel, so I donβt mind investing a little bit in my skin product. This is supposed to even texture and boost radiance, so I love that itβs making my skin better over time, and not just masking it.
Liking Myself Back: This is a biography by a very successful influencer that Iβve followed for years! Itβs really interesting to learn parts of her story I never knew (like how hard she hustled in the beginning to make connections with brands and the insecurities that haunted her), and it illuminates a lot of the business of blogging and influencing.
Le Specs Sunglasses: This 90s frame style is really trendy right now, and I have to admit, I feel pretty on point when I wear them. A great way to instantly update your look!
Butterfly Necklace: A pretty, delicate and versatile addition to my jewelry collection that looks more expensive than $55. I wear it with both sweatshirts and more dressed-up looks.
Necessaire Neck Serum: I saw a few creators I follow talking about this and decided to give it a try since I have a few prominent lines in my neck. Iβve been using it for a few weeks and havenβt seen any significant change yet, but the formula feels really nice, and I feel better knowing Iβm doing something to address the tech neck!
A&F Shorts: My denim shorts collection was really lacking before I bought theseβcurrently 25% off. I have this pair of AGOLDEs, but theyβre way too short (and probably too small) for me to feel comfortable. Iβm very excited about βDad shortsβ and baggier styles being βinβ and these are great! Hooray for not hating your shorts!
Skims Fits Everybody Thong: I first tried Skims when I was looking for new pajamas (a no-frills, comfy, oversized tee and matching shorts of some sort) and found them at Skims! From there I was inspired to try some underwear and ended up doing a whole underwear and pajama drawer refresh. The Fits Everybody collection is really comfortable and great for everyday wear. Iβll have to do a roundup of all my favorite Skims items soon!
St. Tropez Tan Tonic Drops: I was hesitant to do a face self-tanner because I used this product in the past and it left an orange stain on my pillowcases and sheets. But before I went to Dallas (and to prepare for summer in general), I really wanted a little bit of a glow. The St. Tropez drops havenβt stained anything and are super easy to applyβI just mix a drop in with my serum every other night to get a little bit of color.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Body Lotion: Same story hereβI wanted some color on my arms and legs because TBH I wasnβt feeling great about my body and a tan always helps. I love the watermelon scent on this, and while it says itβs a gradual product, I saw color right away. I use it every couple of days to maintain the color. I never used to look forward to applying body lotion and only did it once a week, but I actually enjoy using thisβit feels light, absorbs quickly and isnβt sticky. It definitely feels better than the Jergens glow lotion I was previously using!
