What I'm Wearing For Thanksgiving

What I'm Wearing For Thanksgiving

Who can believe Thanksgiving is next week? It’s so cliche to say, but I’ll say it—where does the time go?? Plans are firming up and the group texts about who’s making what are flowing … I’m excited, but tbh I don’t put too much emphasis on the holidays. It’s a special time to be with family and friends (and reason to throw a party!), but there’s no reason to put unnecessary pressure on one day of the year. I feel like it’s easy, on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, to compare your family to others that look perfect—and I don’t love there being a reason to fall into that trap. Maybe that sounds cynical, but hopefully it just sounds honest. 😐 Still, I have lots to be grateful for and focusing on that is actually really humbling—and makes everything feel OK. Anyway, it was a MONDAY today at work (and I have a crazy Tuesday ahead, too—are anyone else’s weeks always front-loaded?) and I kind of just want to watch Real Housewives and shut my brain off, so I’m keeping this post short and sweet! It’s sweater dress season, and it’s for sure what I’m wearing to eat all the mashed potatoes next week. Cozy and effortless—and perfect for work and holiday parties, too, so it’s not like you’re buying something you’ll never wear again. I’m super into the mini and midi/maxi length ones this season (hitting right at the knee is unflattering I think) in shades of camel, black and ivory. Shop a few of my picks below and have a great week!
