Big week ahead as we get ready to list our house of the last 6 years that we have poured so many projects and work into! It has been a busy last few weekends doing last-minute fixes, painting, and scrubbing all the corners, nooks and crannies. So grateful to our family for all the extra hands—we could not have done it without you—and feeling all the feels as we get ready to say goodbye to such a special house and what was the start of so much for us!

Happy happy Friday!

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind: lots going on behind the scenes at work, went out to dinner on Tuesday night to enjoy our (possibly) last warm evening of the season, and Chris and I had a mini staycation at the Hewing last night! We got insulation installed in the upstairs, which required us to be out of the house for 24 hours, so we took advantage by booking a night at the chic North Loop hotel and starting the weekend early. 🙌 We haven’t traveled at all this year so it was nice to have a little change of scenery, if only for the night!

Outfit details: The weather in Minnesota took a turn this week, and it felt right to reach for a ladylike tweed blazer. My #1 tip for styling blazers is to find a good bodysuit (more options here) to wear underneath to prevent sleeve bunch. And when it comes to blazers themselves, I’m partial to oversized fits that give everything from denim to dresses an easy yet elegant vibe. Mine is old, but linking a similar style here for only $69—score.

  • My website renewal fee: $144

  • Ticket to a comedy show I’m attending in December with my sister: $50

  • Two candles from Bath & Body Works with 20% off coupon (YAS): $44

  • Going out to lunch twice during the work week: $25

  • Target run for new shampoo, conditioner and a bunch of new skincare (trying this collection and loving it): $125

  • Clothes: $0 (Yay! But this sweatshirt and this matching sweatshirt and sweatpants really tempted me—SO CUTE.)

Reflections from this week: It’s still easy to spend plenty of money even without clothes shopping. With my website renewal fee, the comedy show ticket and an expensive Target run driving up my credit card balance, I was glad that I resisted any clothes purchases.
